Yoga Training
Meet The Trainers
Amy Banter, MD (RYT 500), Kim Carlson (E-RYT 500, Reiki Master), and Eric Banter (C-IAYT, E-RYT 500) are grateful for the opportunity to share with you the Art-Of Yoga.
For seekers ready to optimize their well-being, purpose, and joy.
The Art of Yoga 300-Hour Teacher Training is an advanced, immersive journey for teachers who have completed a 200-hour training and feel called to continue growing—deepening into study, practice, purpose, and embodied presence in how they teach, live, and serve.
If the 200-hour training is the undergraduate degree of yoga, this 300-hour experience becomes the master’s level, offering a spacious and intentional exploration of the pathways that refine your voice as a teacher and deepen your lived relationship with yoga.
This training invites you to move beyond foundational teaching skills and deeper into the art of yoga: how you embody it, how you live it, and how you share it in ways that are authentic, intuitive, and aligned with your unique gifts.
What We Explore:
Students in this training are invited into focused study and experiential practice, including:
Deepening your personal practice while refining your role as both student and teacher
Advanced energy practices through the lens of Shakti, prana, kundalini, and transformational chakra work
A rich book study of the Bhagavad Gita, weaving ancient wisdom into modern life, leadership, and dharmic living
Exploring dharma and life purpose, clarifying how your offerings serve both your soul and your community
Comprehensive training in Yoga Nidra—its science, structure, and the skills needed to confidently lead and customize this healing pratyahara practice.
In addition, one of the hallmarks of our Art of Yoga 300-hour is the space we intentionally leave open for curated, cohort-inspired deep dives. As students say yes to this work, the curriculum organically expands to meet their interests and callings.
Past areas of focused study have included:
Divine feminine wisdom and goddess traditions
Sound healing and vibrational practices
Ayurvedic philosophy and seasonal living
Meditation practices and ritual
Yoga for specific needs and therapeutic applications
The business of yoga: private clients, corporate offerings, retreats, workshops, and sustainable teaching models
This training honors that not all teachers follow the same path and that each person carries unique gifts to share. Through ongoing guidance, mentorship, and a supportive community, we walk alongside you as you align with and confidently express those gifts.
The Container:
Beyond content, this training is a 10-month journey of community, mentorship, and integration.
We meet weekly to stay connected, supported, and rooted in practice, and we gather for three weekend intensives, held as mini-retreats—offering time to step out of daily life and into deeper immersion, reflection, and renewal.
This rhythm allows the teachings to be lived, embodied, and integrated—rather than rushed or simply accumulated.
An Invitation:
If your heart is yearning—if you feel a quiet knowing that there is more to study, more to remember, or a deeper way you are meant to serve—this training may be your next step.
Spaces are intentionally limited to preserve the integrity of the container and the depth of connection.

What people say
The Opt2Liv Yoga Teacher Training has been a life-changing opportunity. I have gained the confidence to teach yoga, been inspired by my amazing teachers, and learned about myself through the readings, asanas, and meditations. As a high-school student, this training has provided tools that I can apply to the rest of my life, giving me the opportunity to be a more compassionate and understanding person in this wondrous, and often crazy, world.

Kim, Eric and Amy were amazing. Their depth of knowledge, breadth of experience, and heartfelt support made my yoga journey better than I could have imagined. After practicing for 8 years, I learned more about the practice than I thought possible, and now know that the journey doesn't end. I look forward to continuing to grow and learn, and thank them for providing the knowledge, support and inspiration to do so. I am a better yogi for having learned from them, and a better person for knowing them.
